چکیده

Abstract. Detailed and accurate geomorphological historical landslide inventory maps are an invaluable source of information for many research topics applications. Their systematic preparation worldwide has been advised by researchers as it may foster our knowledge on landslides, their spatial temporal distribution, potential interaction with the built environment, contribution to landscape dynamics, response climate change in past. Due extreme variability morphological radiometric elements that can reveal produced expert interpretation, which makes a time-consuming expensive process, often discourages wide-area mapping activities. In this paper we present new map 1460 km2 area Daunia Apennines, north-western sector Apulia (Puglia) region, southern Italy. The contains 17 437 landslides classified according relative age, type movement, estimated depth. Landslides were mapped rigorous reproducible criteria applied two teams photo interpreters sets stereoscopic aerial photographs taken 1954/55 2003. dataset consists digital archive publicly available at https://doi.org/10.1594/PANGAEA.942427 (Cardinali et al., 2022).

GIS and statistical analysis for landslide susceptibility mapping in the Daunia area, Italy

This study focuses on landslide susceptibility mapping in the Daunia area (Apulian Apennines, Italy) and achieves this by using a multivariate statistical method and data processing in a Geographical Information System (GIS). The Logistic Regression (hereafter LR) method was chosen to produce a susceptibility map over an area of 130 000 ha where small settlements are historically threatened by ...

Dynamics and conceptual model of the Rossena castle landslide (Northern Apennines, Italy)

In the Northern Apennines there are many historical villages and castles, which are of great value and represent a cultural heritage of great importance. Their presence within a territory greatly affected by landslide hazards creates, in many circumstances, the need to solve problems of land management and to act for the preservation of historical monuments. This paper describe an interesting l...

Geomorphological features and monitoring of a large and complex landslide near Avigliano urban area (South Italy)

This paper reports the results of geological and geomorphological surveys and the first results of a still in progress GPS monitoring campaign1, taken on a large and ancient landslide located near Avigliano town (Basilicata region, South Italy). The landslide occurs on structurally complex clayey-marly terrains and it is classifiable as a multiple and complex roto-translational-earthflow landsl...

Loess Landslide Inventory Map Based on GF-1 Satellite Imagery

Rainfall-induced landslides are a major threat in the hilly and gully regions of the Loess Plateau. Landslide mapping via field investigations is challenging and impractical in this complex region because of its numerous gullies. In this paper, an algorithm based on an object-oriented method (OOA) has been developed to recognize loess landslides by combining spectral, textural, and morphometric...

Use of Remote Sensing Data for Landslide Change Detection: Montescaglioso Large Landslide (Basilicata, Southern Italy)

Remote sensing techniques have been widely used since the 1990s in landslide research, deploying for this purpose different spatial and spectral resolution imagery. This research includes photo-interpretation and inventory of large landslides, determinant factors analysis, stereo-plotting of movements, and automatic detection by textural analysis. The potential or intrinsic factors of landslide...
